Dual Pilot Relays : Product Details
Dual Pilot Relays are basically two (2) position, directional flow control valves that directly experience an internal component placement change whenever, Pilot Supply pressure is applied to one of two, separate Pilot Supply ports. The application of operating Pilot Supply automatically results in a Stem/Piston assembly placement change. A loss of Pilot Supply pressure previously applied, will not result in a change of the Stem/Piston assembly's current placement. The application of operating Pilot Supply to the opposite side Pilot Supply port, will shift the internal component's placement back to the original (previous) location. In most applications, operating Pilot Supply pressure is applied momentarily or for a limited time period. This feature, unique to Dual Pilot Relays, makes it very versatile for use in many control circuit applications.
The most commonly utilized Dual Pilot Relays are two position, three-way Universally ported, flow control valves. Dual Pilot Relays generally use a low pressure Pilot Supply source (30-50 PSI) to direct higher pressure instrument supply (50-200 PSI), through the valve body.
Typical applications for Dual Pilot Relays are listed next: pneumatic Level Controls that operate Pumps, Alarm Reset control circuits, pneumatic Horn (Sound/Silence) systems, Pressure Sensor "Intermitter" (Flow Start/Stop at specific pressures) control systems and Remote Telemetry operated safety systems.
