The HLR 550-1 Pressure Relief Valve is designed to provide protection from the over pressure of a hydraulic control system.  The HLR 550-1 is an inline top release pressure reflief valve. Relief pressure set point is adjustable from 5,000 to 10,000 PSI by increasing or decreasing spring tension on the adjusting screw.

The HLR 550-1 top pressure relief valve has a number of design advantages. Inline instrument pressure relief valves save valuable space in control panels and enclosures. An inline pressure relief valve will prevent "accidental" adjusting of the set point and prevent a dangerous situation of a possible over-pressure setting. Top release inline valves have great reliability and seal tightness by having the seal, poppet and spring load all as part of the pressure flow.
